Our courses begin every 7 weeks. Please consult the school calendar, call or email us.

18 hours of class per week. Groups meet from Monday to Thursday, in the morning or in the evening. We offer a total of 11 courses and each course runs for 7 weeks. The total English program duration is 77 weeks (approximately 1 year and 5 months).

Minimum of 3 months.

The class schedule (morning or evening) is determined by CCLS, according to the student’s level of proficiency in English. If the course level is available both in the morning and in the evening, then the student may choose the schedule of his or her preference.

The tuition for one (1) course level (7 weeks) is $875 + books and fees.

Students who choose a program 6 months or more will have a $50 discount from their monthly tuition.

Several options are available in the area, including family houses, hostels, hotels, and Airbnb.

The cost depends on the type of accommodation, the time of the year, and the length of stay. A room in a family home can start at $800 per month.

Yes, if you live outside the United States. Information on how to apply for an I-20 and for the F-1 visa are available here. U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents do not need an F-1 visa.

Currently, the fees for an individual applicant are:
Application fee: $200
I-901 fee, paid to SEVP: $350
In addition, a consular interview fee must be paid in your currency prior to your interview.
Additional fees apply if you have dependents.

The wait time for an interview at the US Embassy/Consulate varies from country to country, and even among individual consulates. Current wait times can be found at the U.S. Department of State's website.

You should apply for an I-20 before scheduling your interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your home country. Information on how to apply for an I-20 is available here.

No, CCLS students on an F-1 visa are not eligible to pursue employment.

No, financial aid is not available to CCLS students.

CCLS New Jersey is located at 60 B Ferry Street, in the Ironbound Section of Newark, New Jersey. Our school is two blocks away from historic Newark Penn Station (train station), 10 minutes away from Newark Liberty International Airport, and only 20 minutes from New York City.
