Check out the many services that CCLS New Jersey offers to students. From tutoring, studying advising to getting your citizenship, we're here to help you!
Using multimedia technology, CCLS has designed a unique program that effectively teaches you how to communicate in the target language from day one. Lessons are based on dialogues from everyday situations. You will learn the language as spoken by native speakers, with a variety of accents, and you will be encouraged to think and speak only in Spanish.
The student's material consists of a textbook and a workbook with optional access to a computer-assistance language learning software. Both the workbook and the software are designed to reinforce the vocabulary and grammar studied in class, and they contain listening-comprehension practice exercises.
Classes are offered weekdays in the morning, afternoon, or evening, and on Saturdays. Classes start year-round. Each group consists of six students on average, which gives you an ample opportunity to actively participate in each class and rapidly develop your conversational skills.
- 7 levels of instruction in group with a duration of 78 hours each (approximately 20 weeks, depending on the frequency of your classes).
- In private lessons, levels can be completed in 40 hours on average.

Using multimedia technology, CCLS has designed a unique program that effectively teaches adults and young adults how to communicate in the target language from day one. You will learn the language as spoken by native speakers in everyday situations and you will be encouraged to think and speak only in English. This contact with linguistic and cultural aspects of the English language helps further develop your communication skills, so you can understand and use the language naturally. Both formal and everyday American speech are introduced in each lesson to serve as the basis for all subsequent classroom work.
The student's material consists of a textbook and a workbook with optional access to a computer-assisted language learning software. Both the workbook and the software are designed to reinforce the vocabulary and grammar studied in class, and they contain listening-comprehension practice exercises. The workbook also features many TOEFL* style exercises and helps students familiarize themselves with the types of tasks and challenges presented by the TOEFL* exam.

Our story begins in 1961 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with the foundation of CCAA, a language school and publishing house dedicated to developing state-of-the-art multimedia language programs and delivering a great learning experience. CCAA developed and launched an incredibly successful and effective teaching method which became extremely popular and led the school to experience rapid growth throughout the country. Seeking international expansion, the Cultural Center for Language Studies (CCLS) was established in 1993 in Miami, FL and has since opened locations in several other countries. Our New Jersey branch, conveniently located in the Ironbound section of Newark, has been serving the New York Metropolitan area since 2003.
More than 700 schools and affiliated institutions in several countries presently use our methodology and teaching materials. CCLS's integrated-skill programs include a wide range of original materials presented in a highly interactive format, followed by relevant, easy-to-follow grammar lessons. Our innovative programs include humorous TV commercials and programs, documentaries, cartoons, printed ads and newspaper/magazine articles, as well as TOEFL style exercises.
Throughout its 20+ years in the New York Metropolitan area, CCLS NJ has achieved an outstanding position in the language education market with a solid base and infrastructure designed to meet the different needs of adults and young adults who wish to learn a second language or perfect their language skills. We are always ready to meet our students' needs by offering courses which not only teach them a new language but also present a wealth of cultural learning. Our students hail from many different parts of the world and all walks of life, making our classes that much more interesting.
