CCLS is located at 60 B Ferry Street, in the Ironbound Section of Newark, New Jersey, a safe residential and commercial area that has been blessed with the influence of many different cultures, making it a very welcoming place. Our school is two blocks away from historic Newark Penn Station (train station), 10 minutes away from Newark Liberty International Airport, and only 20 minutes from New York City.
There are a variety of places to eat including American, Brazilian, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish and Latin-American cuisines, as well as fast food restaurants, close to our school. Stores, fitness centers, supermarkets and banks are all within walking distance.
The area is well-served with public transportation. Several bus and train lines connect Newark to most destinations in New Jersey and New York. In addition to mass transit, there are taxi cab, Uber and Lyft services 24/7. Bus and train schedules can be obtained at the NJ Transit website.
For those looking for some excitement and fun in summer time, Six Flags, New Jersey's favorite amusement park, is just about an hour away. They feature breathtaking rides, a great water park, and even a safari. Buses leave daily from Newark Penn Station. During winter, you can enjoy the snow and also go ice-skating in one of several ice rinks in the region.
Other fun options include watching a game at the Red Bulls Stadium or the Prudential Center — home to the New Jersey Devils Ice Hockey team. Both venues are less than 8 minutes away from the school. Shows and Concerts are featured at the NJPAC (New Jersey Performing Arts Center) and the Prudential Center.

Using multimedia technology, CCLS has designed a unique program that effectively teaches you how to communicate in the target language from day one. Lessons are based on dialogues from everyday situations. You will learn the language as spoken by native speakers, with a variety of accents, and you will be encouraged to think and speak only in Spanish.
The student's material consists of a textbook and a workbook with optional access to a computer-assistance language learning software. Both the workbook and the software are designed to reinforce the vocabulary and grammar studied in class, and they contain listening-comprehension practice exercises.

Classes are offered on weekdays in the afternoon or evening. Classes start year-round. Each group consists of six students on average, which gives you an ample opportunity to actively participate in each class and rapidly develop your conversational skills.
